As written in their email today:
Announcing Monthly Payments!
Beginning January 1, 2007, your Amazon Associates payments will be monthly instead of quarterly, paid approximately 60 days after the end of each month. For example, referral fees you earn in January will be paid at the end of March, and payment of referral fees earned in February will be paid at the end of April. As part of this change, referral fee tiers will be adjusted to reflect monthly instead of quarterly item quantities:
Too unfortunate that I sell thousands of dollars of books and I earn tens of dollars in commissions. Hey Max you still have to use last years coupons! Buy books now!
Hey Webmaster,
when you create a new website, blog or whatever, you should be sure that the RSS / Atom links are working properly.
Wordpress, for instance, has several types of syndication links enabled by default, are you sure you want to keep all of them? Do you usually use an external service like https://www.feedburner.com/ to serve your feeds? Did you remember to redirect all feeds to it?
I want to keep track of this recently found issue: the Popularity-Contest Wordpress plugin 1.2b plug-in for Wordpress gets in conflict with phpAdsNew (PAN) when in the same page.
It seems like PAN opens a persistend DB connection and doesn’t close it. This affects the subsequent SQL queries of Popularity rendering the latter useless since many DB connection errors are reported.
I wrote two support requests:
PAN support forum
Wordpress support forum
and no answers so far.
The Wordpress Contact Form plug-in is something you can’t live without. It allows the administrator, you, to receive emails from users and visitors. The problem is that I keep on receiving spam through that form and, I am afraid, there could be a security hole allowing spammers to send unsolicited emails through it.
Is there a way to fix this useful plugin or does exist an alternative one?
Google is now providing trendinig data for every keyword in their database.

Now it is time to turn our attention to the Web. Within any given medium there are unique constraints that can affect the way designers make use of the principles and elements of design. These constraints can be based on a variety of different things including materials, technology, processes and standards in the industry. The Web is no different. Designing for a Web-based environment enacts a set of unique issues that need to be considered before implementation can be successful.

dynTypo is a collection of work and research by various designers, programmers and artists interested in the possibilities of dynamic and interactive typography in the multimedia arts scene. Much of this work manifests itself as digital artwork, or online interactive experiences. Hence the creation of this research web site. At this stage, the possibilities of dynamic and/or interactive typography are still being explored by academic, creative and commercial sectors, but there seems to be a mutual understanding that this new form of creativity plays an important role in exploring new areas of work and art.
